shopping list

I went shopping with a friend for the first time in my life- with orange girl.
Well,we were at the dollar store.
And my mom was with us the entire time.
And it was for our science fair project....
....here's our shopping list of things we need.

.   glitter(for the science fair display)
.   construction paper
.   stickers
.   us  (meaning we wanted to come)
.   purple glue (for the glitter)
.   an A(also for our project)
.   bubbelicious gum (just to chew on while working)
.   peppermint tea(I love it, orange girl doesn't)
.   lip balm that is not playdough scented ("yum," says orange girl)-not for experiment
.   test tubes and chemicals(to look all scientific and stuff)
.   a cactus named Mark
 
we got everything except the stickers and the purple glue. We did get blue glue though, so it worked just as well.
Oh,and the cactus named Mark. We looked everywhere in the store, but Dollarama didn't have a single cactus.
Can't imagine why...

how come the word up has so many meanings?
up first,you can throw a ball up in the air,or throw up in the toilet.
you can climb up onto a chair,then sit up in it.
or the phase,"coming up next".
you can speak up in class,get up from your seat at recess,or wake up from a nap.
are things looking up for you now?
or maybe you're just fed up with all this- is it my fault? am I messing up?
maybe I'm not living up to your expectations-I guess I just don't measure up.
can you think up any more?
I can't find my dictionary, so I can't look it up...please comment if you can.
